  • Final Day of Finals, Finally!
By d3so on December 18th, 2008 | No Comments Comments

Finally, I’m free! I just hope I did well to improve my grades ;)

I only had one final to take today, and it was for my Public Speaking class. I’m so glad I endured that class because it was the most stressful and the one I dreaded the most. On the upside, I thought it was the most beneficial class out of all my classes. It was the only class where I paid attention 100%; in my other classes, I’d be on my phone or iPod.

Also, I created a Twitter account, Follow Me! I didn’t want to make one because it’d add to another site I’d have to manage. But after awhile, it didn’t seem complex at all to manage. Twitter is very simplistic, like a mini-blog, everyone should have one.

That’s all for now, Happy Holidays!

  • First Day of Finals

Today, I have finals for my computer and math class. I have to turn in a paper for English as well. I finished the paper last night, but I wasn’t able to complete my take-home portion of the math final :p

As of this moment, I’m in school feeling too lazy to study or do anything. I believe the reason for this was the fact that I woke up at 4 AM in the morning to fix my iPod Touch. Last night, I attempted to upgrade my iPod from firmware 2.1 to 2.2. Something went wrong however, and everytime I tried to do a complete restore, it would fail as well. After searching online and finding no solutions, I gave up and went to sleep thinking I bricked my iPod :(

Then I woke up at 4 AM, attempting yet again to restore my iPod. This time I tried to restore on a different computer, suprisingly it worked! Unfortunately, all my music, movies, data, apps, etc. were lost.

In conclusion, I believe that computer settings, configurations, or other applications may affect the upgrading process. I noticed there was a problem when the iTunes upgrade status bar was on “Verifying iPod Software” for an excessive amount of time. When I aborted the whole thing, I found my iPod stuck in recovery mode. How I solved this was restoring on another PC. This needs to be fixed! Almost everytime I upgrade my iPod something goes wrong. If I had a million dollars, I would lay it all down betting that something will go wrong again next update ;)

  • First Semester Almost Finished!

I’m so glad that the first semester of school is almost over. I have finals next week to complete and I’m practically free for about a month. Right now, I’m worrying my classes for next semester, which starts toward the end of January. I haven’t registered for any classes yet and I need to soon because I hear they are starting to fill up! On top of that I need to find a job, haha.

Today, I presented my last speech for my Public Speaking class. I feel so relieved! I hated the fact that I’d always become nervous when my presentation date drew closer. Finally, all that stress is gone, hopefully never to be seen again.

Well, I suppose that’s all I have to say for now. Hopefully, someday I’ll actually write something resourceful instead of ranting about l!fe.
